Any homeowner needs to know how to set garage door openers (remotes), and we’ll provide a simple guide for doing so. The procedure is extremely straightforward for most garage door opener brands like Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, Linear, and Genie. Make sure the battery in your remote is operational, and proceed with setting the garage door openers. Find a “Learn” button on your opener unit. For most brands, it’s located at the back of the opener and has a distinct color. Gennie openers have it located right at the bottom portion, and Linear garage door openers usually have it located on the side of the unit.
At this point, your garage door opener should pair with the remote, and you should hear a click or the LED light will turn off, indicating the process has been completed. If the indicator light is still on and you had no feedback from your garage door opener, slowly keep pressing the button on your remote until you get the feedback from the opener.
Simple as that. Short and easy tutorial on how to set garage door openers for most makes and models.
